Washington Redskins Greene Turtle

The Washington Redskins Greene Turtle was a former specialized food vendor inside of FedEx Field. Based on the current version of the official FedEx Field seating chart, the Greene Turtle used to be located just behind section 136 in the south-east corner of the stadium.

The Greene Turtle was a stadium branch of a popular bar which has dozens of locations in five states throughout the north Atlantic region of the U.S. The FedEx Field branch of the Greene Turtle closed after the 2012 season. According to news reports, the high rent and revenue sharing requirements of a location in the Redskins home stadium made it difficult for the bar to generate a profit at the location. In addition, given the existence of a large Hooters at FedEx Field, gameday fans had too many options for a casual sports bar within the building.

FedEx Field still has numerous food vendors spread across all levels of the stadium. Close to the former location of the Greene Turtle is an entire food court with a variety of concessions-size versions of regional restaurants.
